Dr. Bochra Bahri is an Associate Professor in turfgrass pathology at the Department of Plant Pathology, UGA, Griffin campus. Dr. Bahri’s expertise is in plant pathogen epidemiology, pathogen population genetics, sustainable disease management, and fungal genomics and genetics. Next-generation sequencing technologies (targeted amplicon sequencing, RNA seq…) and bioinformatics are key components of her research program. Main pathosystems studied in Dr. Bahri’s research program are dollar spot and rhizoctonia large patch in turfgrass. Dr. Bahri has published 49 peer-reviewed publications, secured eight external federal and state research grants, and supervised six graduate students
