Professor UGA Dept of Plant Pathology Tifton, GA, USA
I never planned to be a plant pathologist. I was 28 years old before I even knew there was such a thing as "the study of plant diseases". Over the past 31 years I have convinced myself and many others that a career in plant pathology truly can be the "best job in the world". This job has brought fulfillment I could never have expected on that day in 1993 when I first shook hands with Dr. George Agrios.
