Graduate Research Assistant
University of Georgia
Tifton, GA, USA
I am a PhD student in the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia, Tifton campus. My research focuses on the epidemiology of whitefly-transmitted viruses in cucurbit crops, particularly cucurbit leaf crumple virus (CuLCrV) and cucurbit chlorotic yellows virus (CCYV). I am studying the role of weed species as reservoirs for these viruses and seed transmission of CuLCrV. My work aims to provide insights into improving cucurbit production management in the southeastern United States. I hold a master’s degree in Plant Pathology from Punjab Agricultural University and am passionate about advancing plant pathology through my studies on viral ecology and integrated pest management.
