During her time with USDA-ARS, Dr. Puig developed a diagnostic test for Cacao mild mosaic virus (CaMMV) which has been used around the world, leading to the detection of the pathogen in new locations. Dr. Puig’s lab focuses on epidemiology and population diversity to understand the emergence and spread of high priority pathogens.
