The National Plant Diagnostic Network (NPDN) is a consortium of 128 diagnostic labs in all U.S. states and four territories. The network's mission is to protect national plant health and biosecurity in U.S. agricultural and natural ecosystems by providing expert diagnostic capacity, communication, coordination, and quality pest and disease diagnostic information. NPDN member diagnosticians comprise a skilled network via regular communications, professional development and training, and supporting each other through committee work, mentoring, training, and meetings. NPDN serves as a nexxus between regulatory and routine diagnostics, research, and information exchange across local, state, and federal partners.
