The Yuma Plant Health Clinic is a plant diagnostic lab exclusively under Cooperative Extension - Yuma County. Yuma, AZ, also known as a winter salad bowl, produces 90% of US and Canada’s leafy greens and vegetables between November through April. The agricultural industry in Yuma is fast-paced and sophisticated, with vegetables grown on over 230,000 acres of land that produce 170 million servings each day. The Yuma Plant Health Clinic has been serving Yuma County farmers and gardeners in plant disease diagnosis and management for the past six years. The data presented will focus on sample submission numbers and data collected from 2024. The data collected provides insight into emerging plant health trends and common pathogens affecting local crops aligning with the clinic’s goal of supporting Yuma’s agricultural industry through diagnostic services, outreach, and research.
